The last several days have been manic but during this time I've managed to continue working on the edging of the patka and finish it along what will be one pallu.
Here you see the simple geometric motif executed in Anchor's regular ivory and black threads, as a single strand for both the chain stitch and the satin filling stitch in the centre. While there has been some mild distortion this is typical of work not in a frame and I can live with it.
From here I resurrected my original design with only marginal adaptations from the original.

On the distortion - is it going to hold up once the thing gets wet? (I used a crochet thread once to do some embroidery and ended up with a nicely shirred edging after the first wash... it was NOT what I had planned for!)
